Morse
APRS
The radio has no band scope over CI-V, so this steps through a range and reads the S-meter at each point.
Call signs decoded from repeaters' Morse IDs show up here, with the frequency they were heard on, and label those frequencies everywhere in the panel. Turn on Decode Morse on the main panel, under the frequency, or sweep with Stop on signal, then identify.
Turn on Decode APRS on the main panel, under the frequency and tune 144.800 (or 145.825 while the ISS is over). Packets are decoded straight from the radio's audio, with no TNC.
Calls heard in DV mode show up here: who is calling, through which repeater, their message, and their D-PRS position, which also goes on the APRS radar. Tune a D-STAR repeater, or 145.375 simplex, in DV.
The radio refused to send what it hears on D-STAR (20 00 00 01), so calls can't be listed.
Downlink Doppler only: the radio can't shift its transmit frequency separately.
SSTV
Turn on Decode SSTV and tune 145.800 while the ISS is over during an ARISS SSTV event (announced on ariss.org; usually PD120, a picture every few minutes): pick ISS voice / SSTV above and Track & tune keeps the Doppler shift out. A picture draws as it comes in and is kept here when it ends.
Saved channels and memories are picked on each band card of the display: ‹ › step through them and the channel name opens the list. The radio can't send its memories over CI-V, so import them once: export the memory channels to CSV from the radio's SD card menu or Icom's cloning software, then choose the file or drop it here. CHIRP CSV files work too.
imported, with your saved channels. Pick them on each band card of the display: ‹ › step through them and the channel name opens the list, where Save this frequency adds the one the main band is on. The radio stays in VFO mode: a pick puts the channel's frequency, mode, duplex and offset, and tone on the VFO.
To list the repeaters near you, import a file with latitude and longitude columns (Lat and Long, as RepeaterBook's export has them, or Latitude and Longitude).
